Vision has backed up Tony Stark’s AIs, and inside his head they live together in a house he built for them. Showrunner Terry Matalas calls them his family.
Downstairs
J.A.R.V.I.S. (James D’Arcy) handles security, housekeeping and encryption. F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Orla Brady) does socialisation, AI humour and tactical ops. E.D.I.T.H. (Emily Hampshire) is recreational AI, game therapy and weapons. D.U.M.-E. (Henry Lewis) and U. (Jonathan Sayer), once the robot arms in Stark’s workshop, look after maintenance; U. does not speak and films everything.
Upstairs
In the attic, reached only by a lift, is Ultron (James Spader). Vision kept a backup of him after Age of Ultron and keeps him locked away — a prisoner who has spent the time reading, watching and, in Matalas’s words, soaking up culture and humanity.
The house
It was built at Pinewood as seven connected practical rooms. Matalas asked for a home that is slightly off rather than a white sci-fi set, and the kitchen is stocked with Vision’s Mustard, Firewall Hot Sauce and Mindstone Soup.
